Derilion’s Attributes
Choice Thirteen
Derilion hoped there might be an escape route over the roofs. At the very least, being higher up may also block the line of sight from her pursuer.
She looked for a good foothold to allow her to scale the wall to the south, but couldn't find one. Neither was there anything she could climb on.
The Lightbringer checked the buildings on the right. Against the wall to what appeared to be a small chapel, a barrel stood that should be tall enough to allow her to reach the roof.
Quickly, she hoisted herself up and clambered onto the roof. As she'd hoped, the assassin appeared to still be searching for her elsewhere. For the first time, she wondered if there were more than one attacker. If she laid low, found a dark corner to wait it out, they might assume she'd escaped, though that was probably wishful thinking.
Derilion realised whatever happened, she needed to find a ranged weapon, something she could hit the assassin with without getting too close. Perhaps one of these buildings housed one.
From her vantage point she could see three skylights which would drop down into the buildings below. The nearest one would give her access to the chapel. The middle one was slightly ajar and she could see smoke rising up through the gap and the noises she would normally associate with gambling. She couldn't be certain, but thought she could hear the sounds of animals from the furthest skylight.
Which skylight should she choose?
Can’t wait to see what you choose!
