Results for the Last Choice
Votes were cast, and you chose for Derilion to run through the small archway, away from her assassin.
So, without further ado, here’s the next part of the adventure!
Derilion’s Attributes
Choice Twelve
Derilion ran through the fake mercenaries in front of her and through the small stone archway. To the left was a dead-end, so she darted to the right as another green bolt hit the wall beside her.
She'd had enough, she couldn't keep running like this forever.
Roll 2d6 and test for Detection.
I rolled 7 (5 + 2) on 2d6, so Derilion passed the test.
Derilion concentrated on the assassin, trying to sense where they were. Suddenly, a thought came to her.
If the assassin had known this tavern - and it was likely they'd scouted the area even if they hadn't - then they also knew Derilion’s path was blocked to the left. In that case, there was a good chance they were circling around, through the larger stone archway, to try and head her off from the right.
Quickly the Lightbringer spun her sword into the opening she'd just come through, trying to attract another bolt from the assassin, should they be waiting for her. Nothing. Derilion took a deep breath, raised her shield, and went back through the small stone archway. No bolts of green.
She quickly went through her options. Ducking into either of the dwellings didn't seem like a good idea, though she knew her attacker would still have to waste tine checking them. Instead, she continued toward the larger stone archway, likely following in the assassin’s own movements.
When she reached the archway, she saw a cobbled road the other side of the alleyway beyond. She might be able to lose them there. Derilion ran through to the road, knowing that if she could get slightly ahead of the assassin, she could buy herself some time and set her own trap.
The small road ran away from the tavern, and was flanked by buildings on either side. It crossed her mind that perhaps she could attempt to climb up and onto the roofs.
Can’t wait to see what you choose!
