Derilion: Assassination - Choice Six

Thank you for reading and taking part in Derilion: Assassination - and if you hadn’t had time to start yet, you can jump in now and make your voice heard!
You’ve been waiting in this room for a little while for this next instalment - apologies for that. Lots has been happening in the real world, both good and bad, and sometimes stuff has to be reprioritised.
Hopefully, everything will be back on schedule from now. I’d love to be able to do a choice a week.

Votes were cast and 69% of voters went for ‘leave the room via the door’.
So, without further ado, here’s the next part of the adventure!
Derilion’s Attributes
Choice Six
Derilion opened the door and looked out; everything seemed quiet for now. She knew the assassin had run to her right, so left would be the obvious choice.
She could see several more rooms leading off from the corridor, and she assumed they were all bedrooms. If they were like hers had been, it was unlikely she'd be able to escape that way.
The only candle she could see lighting the corridor was within arms reach of where she stood in the doorway, so she swiftly reached up and snubbed it out.
There were several feet of corridor to negotiate before it turned left, and there was little cover - it would be difficult to avoid attack in such a narrow space should the assassin be waiting for her next move.
She could start by using her Speed or her Stealth.
