🎲 Monthly Gamebook Adventures on Substack!
Why Substack / What We Are / Opening Offer / More Info
Why Substack?
I've been thinking about creating an interactive-fiction based Patreon for a while, but the interface has struck me as a little confusing, and recently Substack has come to my attention, and, after looking into it, I think it works better for me.
What is 'A Branching Narrative'?
Every month I will be creating a new 125+ paragraph adventure for you to enjoy, with rules similar, but not restricted by, the rules in place for my other gamebooks.
Substack allows subscribers to have a free plan and a paid for plan.
Everyone on the free plan will receive the first room on the monthly adventure (25+ paragraphs), plus they will receive an overview post on the why and how of creating the adventure
Everyone who chooses the paid-for plan will receive the full adventure (125+ paragraphs), plus they will receive an in-depth post on the why and how of creating the adventure
There is also a founding member option, who will receive 1 extra adventure (125+ paragraphs) per year
The paid-for plan is $7 a month, or $70 per year.
Some of you may have heard some negative news about Substack recently. I looked into it (I don't want to approach anything on the internet lightly) and was eventually swayed by James Tynion IV's post. You can read it here.
Opening Offer
We are running an opening offer of 20% off all subscriptions until the 9th September. To access the offer click the button below.
My initial post is up on the site - to take a look, click the URL below.
If you know people who might be interested, I'd really appreciate a social-share.
What sort of adventures?
I'll be creating a whole load of one-off adventures in multiple genres including fantasy, sci-fi and horror (with some familiar settings...).
When will they post?
The first adventure will post on Friday September 10th 2021, and is called 'The Watchtower'.
I hope this sounds interesting to you - please let me know your thoughts and questions so I can better prepare everyone for 'A Branching Narrative'.
Speak soon and stay safe,
Simon
